No way out

Jules, addicted to opioids, has decided to quit. He locks himself in his bathroom and battles against himself and the effects of withdrawal to resist using again. Will he overcome his addiction?

This film explores addiction, withdrawal, and loneliness. It portrays the difficulty of this struggle and the moment when one chooses to move forward. It explores the different stages of a withdrawal crisis: confusion, anger, and despair. It also addresses the courage it takes to fight against oneself and say, "I need help." Through a painterly art direction, a mix of 3D media and 2D rotoscoping, the film team transformed a bathroom into a mental space, a stage for the protagonist's inner struggle.
