Alumni Testimonial - 3D Character Artist at TAT Productions

Alexandre joined MoPA in order to train for a career in animation. During his training, he was able to explore the field of possibilities and above all discover all the steps involved in making an animated film: storyboard, concept art, animation, modelling, texturing, surfacing, compositing, editing, etc. 

He finally made the decision to become a 3D Character Artist. His job is to produce 3D models of characters for animated films and series. 

After his studies, he joined TAT Productions, an independent studio based in Toulouse, which produced the animated series The Jungle Bunch and feature films such as Terra Willy and Pil.

It is in this studio where Alexandre is working on the modelling of the characters for the sequel to The Jungle Bunch which will be released in 2024. Following this, he will work on the Asterix series commissioned by Netflix which will be released in 2025.

His advice to future students in animation school: Be open-minded, creative and learn to experiment with many techniques in order to open up the field of possibilities to all the existing methods out there.
