A MoPA film wins the Gold Medal at the Student Academy Awards
The graduation film "Au Revoir Mon Monde", created by six students from MoPA, the renowned animation school, has climbed to the top of the podium at the Student Academy Awards, also known as the Student Oscars, winning the prestigious Gold Medal.
Directed by Astrid NOVAIS, Florian MAURICE, Quentin DEVRED, Maxime FOLTZER, Estelle BONNARDEL, and Baptiste DUCHAMPS, this short film is the result of a year of intense and creative work during their final year at MoPA, recognized worldwide as one of the best animation schools.
Au Revoir Mon Monde tells the story of Karim, a fish mascot for a sushi restaurant in a big city. During a work break, a meteorite suddenly appears in the sky, and he realizes that the end of the world is today. What follows is a journey through the city during the apocalypse, as Karim tries to say goodbye to the person he loves most in the world—all while wearing his fish costume.
This short film has already been selected for numerous international festivals, where it has won several awards, standing out for its creativity and technical mastery. The Gold Medal at the Student Academy Awards is an exceptional recognition for the students, giving the film international visibility and making it eligible for the 2025 Oscars!
