How to train for a career in 3D animation?

3D animation is a constantly evolving discipline, central to many sectors such as film, video games, advertising, and special effects. With the rise of animated films and digital productions, numerous professions have emerged, offering a variety of exciting careers. If you dream of being part of this creative world, training in 3D animation is an excellent choice. Discover how to train in this discipline at MoPA School, a film school specializing in 3D animation.

3D animation: a fast-growing industry

3D animation is now everywhere, especially in animated films, visual effects, and video games. This industry offers a wide range of careers, each with its own specialization, from character animation to creating visual atmospheres and special effects. If you want to train for careers in 3D animation, you must be ready to develop strong technical skills while also nurturing your creativity.

At MoPA school, we allow you to discover the entire production pipeline of an animated film, starting with the fundamentals and gradually specializing in a specific field through innovative teaching and concrete projects.

A complete and specialized training

Cycle 1: The fundamentals of 3D animation

The first cycle of MoPA’s 3D animation training focuses on learning the fundamentals. Students discover techniques such as 3D modeling, character animation, as well as lighting and texturing concepts. The objective of these first three years is to provide you with the tools needed to understand and create animation projects before allowing you to specialize in more advanced areas. You will work on practical projects that help you become familiar with professional software and the production methods used in the industry.

Cycle 2: Specialization in animation or image

The second cycle of the training allows you to choose between two specializations: animation or image. If you choose animation, you will learn how to bring characters to life using advanced 3D animation techniques. By choosing the image option, you will focus on visual creation, lighting, rendering, and the atmosphere of an animated film. These two paths allow you to refine your skills and prepare for specific careers in the industry.
